Renowned actor Ilir Shkurti passed away at the age of 68, leaving behind a rich artistic legacy that has touched the stage, screen, and Albanian public.
Today, his family, friends and colleagues said their final farewells in an emotional ceremony. His loss has left a huge void not only for his immediate circle, but also for the artistic community, which appreciated him for his talent, humor and the special energy he brought to every performance.
Shkurti's career is closely linked to the Pogradec Estrada, where he stood out for years with roles that remain part of the collective memory. He also contributed to Albanian cinema, being part of well-known films such as “Rrethimi i vogël”, “Binarët”, “Ngjorrat e vesëra”, “Shkëlqim i perëkëshëm” and “Kush vdes në pëkë”, where he showed the wide range of his talent.
While his hometown and Albanian art suffer a great loss, his works will remain alive, living through the roles and contributions he left behind on stage and screen.
