DP leader Sali Berisha spoke from the blue headquarters about electoral promises for pensioners after a meeting with them earlier.
Berisha emphasized that pensioners are not asking for free travel, but a reduction in ticket prices.
"Pensioners are not asking for free travel, but for half price, and I promise them this: half price travel throughout Albania," he declared.
He illustrated the current situation by emphasizing that it has become unimaginable that now, with cheap airlines, the Tirana-Berlin trip is cheaper than the Tirana-Saranda trip by bus or taxi. Berisha assured that pensioners will have tickets at half price, using their notification letter.
In addition, Berisha promised that pensioners will be entitled to free basic tests every six months.
He criticized the government's current health check-up program, saying that "Rama and Nushi's check-up excludes pensioners," and that this program costs 60 million euros, which he said were allocated for inappropriate purposes.
"The check-up will be canceled immediately," Berisha concluded, expressing his commitment to supporting pensioners.
