Enkelejd Alibeaj was invited to the "Debat" show on A2Cnn where he spoke about the May 11 elections, what this process entailed, the supermajority, and developments in the opposition camp.
For the candidate of the Right Coalition for Development, it was Sali Berisha himself who gave the signal to the public that he would "sell" the elections by approving changes to the electoral code, in July of last year.
Alibeaj adds that despite promises, the opposition had no intention of governing.
"According to my perspective, what happened was that in the eyes of the public it was seen that the match was sold. It was what happened in July of last year with the electoral code. I'm not saying that the code was the only cause, it is the main cause when in the eyes of the public the signal was injected without gloves by Berisha that he is selling these elections. And what happened, I'm not talking about the lists, the 12 mandates on the table and the diaspora vote that was given to Rama, he has control.
"People understood that Sali Berisha had no eyes for governance. If they have sold the game, why don't we also behave in such a way to conform to the situation. Rama received the same number of votes as 4 years ago despite the scandals and half of the figures behind bars. Edi Rama has won", said Alibeaj.
