Fatbardh Kadilli, former DP MP, commented on the developments in the context of the May 11 elections, focusing on both the conflicts within small parties and the performance of the lists presented by the Democratic Party in regions such as Fier and Elbasan.
According to Kadilli, the way the small parties handled this process closely resembles clashes between figures from the big parties, with a profound lack of will for cooperation and a language that he describes as 'hatred' and 'unprincipled'.
"The conflicts of small parties were completely similar to the clashes of figures of large parties. If the small parties demonstrated an inability to compromise, moreover, they demonstrated a language of hatred towards each other, an unprincipled war against each other and a loss of focus, the focus was not to offer the citizens something new. The focus was who would come second or third among them," said Kadilli in the Report TV studio.
Commenting on the situation in Fier, Kadilli did not spare criticism for the selections that, according to him, were totally wrong and foreign to the area.
"Look, these figures are seen as important because they are given a function, if you take away their function, their credibility is completely gone, the Fier list and the Elbasan list have been among the weakest lists that Berisha has presented in these elections. To say that in the Fier list, there is no difference with 2021 or 2017, it is simply the same list, it is not Alibeaj but it is Bardhi and a list that is not at all representative."
So there is no Fierak on that list, up to number 5, maybe 6. Even Baçi is not exactly Fierak, he is from Delvina, he went to Fier in '92. There is no Mallakastriot, there is none. There is none from the communities there.
"The ridiculous behavior of the one from Lushnja and Bac cannot create a relationship with the terrain in Fier. Those who have accepted to be safe there will never touch the dream of communication with Berisha," said Kadilli.
The former MP did not spare Gazment Bardhi either, whom he described as the 'most unvoted' in the Democratic Party and the cause of the failure in Elbasan.
"The person who is most unvoted in the DP is Mr. Bardhi, where the failure was in Elbasan. They held the last mandate with 200 votes, with very few. The list is very wrong, the list has been a significant cost of the DP's loss in these elections," concluded Kadilli.
