Interior Minister Taulant Balla, while presenting the decisions after the government meeting, was asked by journalists about the threats against the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani.
Balla clarified that there is no request from Duman for measures and that he is not aware of any threats.
The minister said that he himself communicated with the director of the State Police to establish contacts with the Duman so that the State Police can provide maximum security.
"I don't want something to be thrown in the media and then this thing becomes part of the news of the day. The truth is completely different and I want to guarantee not only SPAK prosecutors, judges, but every citizen that the State Police is on duty to guarantee that everyone is safe. In this perspective, I communicated with the director of the State Police, who I asked to get in touch with Mr. Dumani to ensure that the state police do their duty, just as we aim to guarantee the public safety of every citizen, we have the utmost responsibility to guarantee the maximum safety of every official of this state. The attention and care of the State Police will not be lacking at any moment. Until this moment I have not been informed that we have a problem with what you say.
I have no information that we have a request for this, but in any case we try to verify them. In my assessment, after communicating with the Police Director, it turns out that your news is untrue," stated Balla.
