Jorida Tabaku has just returned from Berlin, where she tried to restore a normal relationship with the German sister party, CDU/CSU, a relationship that, as she herself claims, has been greatly lost during the DP's three-year internal debate.
But the recovery has its own difficulties, which was shown by the statement of the spokesman for Europe of the CDU/CSU group, Gunther Krichbaum. He was against the way Mr. Berisha is leading the PD and that CDU and EPP are keeping their distance from Berisha's PD.
In the interview for the show "Pa Censure", Mrs. Tabaku told what she had talked with Mr. Krichbaum in Berlin, seeing it as an individual attitude.
" Discussion of these issues with Mr. Krischbaum was inevitable. As much as I have the opportunity and space, I try to raise the opposition's cause and, after finishing the discussion with him, I told him that "we spent an hour, but did you notice that we did not deal with our opponent? So, who does this discussion serve, this internal debate in DP?! ” said Ms. Tabaku in RTSH, noting that in addition to the critical statement of MP Kirchbaum, there was also a statement of support for the DP from the vice-president of the group, Johann Wadephul.
" As in DP, which has many voices, there are many voices in every party. This is normal for there to be some positions, but with regard to the EPP, you know what has happened in these three years and, in this case, the DP has lost support, because it has been too busy with the internal debate, when we should focus on the opponent. Now, we are at a moment where we must continue to look forward and increase this cooperation ," said Mrs. Tabaku, who during her stay in Berlin met with the highest level of the CDU covering the Western Balkans.
" Their desire is for the DP to become as strong as possible, not to spend time with internal debates, but to spend the time to see how we can move forward and how we can become stronger in front of the opponent. This was the focus of all the discussions I had yesterday. It is important that the DP shares with the CDU, the EPP and other sister parties the same values in terms of conservatism, the balance of powers, the fight against corruption, the family, freedom of speech, as well as its orientation strategic, things that PD does not change, " said Jorida Tabaku in the show "Pa Censure", on RTSH.
