The Americans are preparing a new and strong attack against Sali Berisha. Diplomatic sources told Pamphlet that for some time the Americans, as well as EU officials, have held and are holding important meetings with some of the well-known figures of the opposition and the Democratic Party.
Intellectuals, but also former senior officials of the DP era, including ministers, MPs, university professors, etc., are expected to soon appear in public to openly demand that Sali Berisha should no longer have anything to do with the politics of Albanian opposition.
Important names, who have been away from PD for years, precisely from Berisha, are ready to appear in the public front to tell all their truths of the 33-year history, where the man who is currently under investigation and accused by SPAK, he purged the DP to maintain his power.
So far, the only one who appears in public and is active from time to time is the former President Bamir Topi, who together with some of the well-known names of the DP has held meetings and conversations with some intellectuals, with the aim of reviving the Albanian opposition.
As it is learned, some of these figures have expressed during meetings with diplomats that they are in their work, and have no ambition to re-enter political life either for themselves or for their families. In various meetings, they have said that they feel tired of a policy that does not hesitate to judge or attack them, if they give a position or opinion. They have done it over the years but have encountered strong attacks, even threats.
But as it is known, on the other hand, almost all of these characters have expressed support for a real re-establishment of the Albanian opposition, also articulating major remarks about the political action of Lulzim Basha or the current leadership of the official DP.
Meanwhile, it is learned that with the mediation of important diplomats, Lulzim Basha himself has held meetings with well-known names and personalities of the Democratic Party over the years and has expressed his willingness and need to listen to their opinion.
In fact, Basha has asked for support for his constitutional reform initiative that he drafted with the assistance of some former heads of state from the time of the DP. Who have opposed from the beginning the changes of 2008, where Albania turned into a prime ministerial republic and a political presidential democracy.
Bamir Topi, as is known, was one of the first supporters of the idea that the opposition should initiate constitutional reforms to remove the monarchical power from the prime minister and open the lists of deputies, in such a way that those who have the support of the presidents are not elected. , but who wins the most popular votes.
Meanwhile, it is known that the election of the President of the Republic by the people will soon turn into a public cause in the country, where, in addition to Lulzim Basha and the leaders of the official DP, many former leaders of the Democratic Party in years that today they are intellectuals and university professors.
The election of the head of state by the people is expected to receive significant diplomatic support from the Western allies, who will then put pressure on Edi Rama to accept the opposition's proposal.
