The chairman of the parliamentary group of the SP, Bledi Çuçi, said that there is no legal condition for the suspension of the meeting of the Council of Mandates that is considering the request of SPAK to remove the mandate from Sali Berisha, a request that was submitted a little while ago by the representative his legal.
Responding to the request of Berisha's lawyers, who asked to suspend the meeting until the GJK pronounces, Çuçi said that they had not requested the suspension of the meeting.
"The first thing I want to say is that there is no procedural legal basis to request this suspension. You expressed yourself that it is in our will to do this. In relation to Aliebaj's question, I see your request in the CJK a little, and here they did not request the suspension of the parliamentary procedures for granting the authorization. In your request, if you were so interested, you could have asked the GJK to suspend this meeting. You asked for the suspension of austerity measures. You did not ask for the suspension of the parliamentary proceedings for the request brought by the prosecution for Berisha. There is no legal condition to suspend this process", said Çuçi.
