President Bajram Begaj has finally left the "yoke" of Prime Minister Edi Rama. The latter has turned his back on Kosovo and has criticized Albin Kurti. But Begaj today held a meeting with him to discuss the situation in the North, but also about the relations between the two countries. The conversation between them was held during the Prespa Forum in Struga
The Government of Kosovo announces that Kurti informed President Begaj with the proposal of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for full de-escalation and normalization of the situation in the municipalities in the north, as he reiterated that the rule of law should be the basic premise of any solutions for the way forward.
Kurti expressed his regret for the unilateral cancellation of the joint meeting of the two governments, which was scheduled to be held on Wednesday in Gjakova.
According to an announcement by the Government of Kosovo, he thanked President Begaj for his cooperation and continuous support to Kosovo, as well as for his position regarding the kidnapping of three Kosovo policemen by Serbian forces, condemning this act and demanding the release of their immediate.
