The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, has announced that the law on the State Police will be changed.
In a statement to the media, he said that the Police must become a reliable institution and respond to the demands and expectations of its citizens.
"We must be guaranteed a state police that responds to the demands and expectations of the public, to transform the police into the most reliable institution. Let's wait a few more days, it is a law that, even in terms of the number of articles and amendments, is large and the work is important
The existing code of ethics, after much consultation, I think there are a lot of innovative ideas that have come to us to include and stop inappropriate contact, to ensure that police, garda and firefighters have more clearly, in the exercise of the duty, they must guarantee work with high integrity. The biggest ally of the state police is the public," said Balla.
