The new Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, is holding a meeting today with the leaders of the ministry and dependent structures to communicate the priorities of his task.
In the meeting with the leaders of the ministry, Balla communicated the priorities of his task and gave some orders to the police leaders.
"No member of parliament should interfere with your work. Any member of parliament who interferes with you will not be tolerated. You have the duty to listen respectfully whenever the phone rings from any member of parliament, but in any case that interferes in the performance of your duty, direct the deputy to me. Interference is unacceptable," said Balla.
Taulant Balla was sworn in two days ago in front of the President of the Republic of Albania Bajram Begaj, where he officially assumed the position of Minister of the Interior, after the dismissal of Bledi Çuçi.
On Thursday, the Assembly approved the decree of the President of the Republic for the appointment of Taulant Balla to the post of Minister of the Interior, with 75 votes in favor, 16 against, 1 abstention.
