Bardhi requests Pelesh: Do not provoke the opposition in the October 27 session

Gazment Bardhi, head of the DP Parliamentary Group, has addressed a request to the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, not to provoke opposition lawmakers in the October 27 session, where the leaders of some of the independent institutions will present their annual reports.

Peleshi, in his letter to Peleshi, emphasizes that opposition MPs should be allowed to ask their questions. Bardhi confirms the opposition's agreement that after the presentation of the annual report by the heads of independent institutions, the debate time should be 150 minutes, as determined by the Conference of Speakers.

Bardhi requests Pelesh: Do not provoke the opposition in the October 27 session

According to the DP group, "any unilateral change by the Assembly of the rights of minority deputies, or the 34-year-old interpretation of the Assembly's Rules of Procedure, is an attack on parliamentarism and annihilation of the rights of the parliamentary opposition, and consequently is and will be unacceptable for opposition deputies."

The DP Parliamentary Group urges Pelesh, in exercising his responsibilities, to take measures to normalize parliamentary life and to immediately stop provocative acts against the opposition and its completely constructive behavior in the Albanian Parliament.
