Freedom Party MP Tedi Blushi delivered a harsh speech in the Laws Committee, where he accused justice institutions of failure and dependence on politics.
He said that the OSCE/ODIHR report on the elections highlighted electoral crime, vote manipulation, and state collaboration with crime.
"According to the OSCE/ODIHR report, the elections are not the product of a free vote. We have the state becoming one with the police and crime. There are MPs from this majority who have emerged from non-free elections," Blushi declared.
He called the draft resolutions presented to the Commission a "mockery", denouncing the inequality in investigations between citizens and officials, as well as the lack of punishment for corruption cases that, according to him, involve Prime Minister Edi Rama and cabinet ministers.
"SPAK is violating human rights every day and acts like a pistol in Rama's hands. The affairs with incinerators, IPARD funds and energy abuses should be investigated," the MP added.
At the end of the meeting, the Laws Committee approved by majority vote the six draft resolutions of independent institutions, which will be presented for discussion at Monday's plenary session.
