MP Enkelejd Alibeaj is of the opinion that already without the logo and seal, Lulzim Basha's group will have to create a new political party, tempting for Albanians and challenging for Edi Rama, as he calls it.
In an interview on A2 CNN, Alibeaj said that so far in this battle he is alone, but added that this will not stop him from moving forward. He said that the creation of a new political party is an obligation they have towards all those who followed their group during the 3 years of war within the Democratic Party.
"I have not been, my approach is a political approach, from the moment the Court of Appeal unfairly gave the seal and logo to Berisha, set an ambush and limit to our joint effort not to leave it in the hands of Berishism PD, I have take a position, we will have to continue what is called war or battle, and our position in these 3 years, has been that we will have to have a new political offer that is attractive to the Albanians, challenging to Rama yesterday, I left the parliamentary group of Sali Berisha and I would like other colleagues to do these acts. I do not impose my attitude on anyone. Political movement with all those who have held this position for 3 years, in order not to leave them without a point of reference and to create a new political and electoral offer" , he said.
However, in this battle it seems that it is also against Lulzim Basha. Although he did not articulate it clearly, he said that he is against "presidentialism", or individuals who think that "the party is me, and I am the party". However, he did not hesitate to have an invitation for all those who were together in the battle against Berishism.
" I distance myself from concrete practices and names, today I, Basha, Arbi Agalliu, Orjola Pampuri, have been called to make a sacrifice, we have had this for the past 3 years, we have been physically and verbally attacked, every individual who has the party in mind is me and I am the party, nothing unites me, that's why I have an invitation for all my colleagues" , said Alibeaj.
When the Himara elections are very close, August 4, or even before the parliamentary elections, the call for the creation of a new party is urgent.
