Although for several mandates the official leader of the Democrats, Lulzim Basha, continues to stir up divisions among the party's militants, who have proven in the majority that they are more connected to the historical leader of the DP, Sali Berisha.
In an interview for the show '3D' on RTSH, analyst Arjan Curi said that Basha in politics does not have the originality of Basha in his private life, he is "selling" another image which does not attract voters. This view was opposed by the vice president of the DP under Basha, Roland Bejko.
Excerpts from the studio debate:
Curi : We don't know where the people are, but we know that most of them are neither with Berisha nor with Basha. We mistakenly think that the Democrats must be with one of them, so that they fall and a new leader emerges. Look at the rally: Berisha has 50 people, Basha has 10.
Bejko : On the 11th there was no place to sit there.
[Alban Dudushi interjects: You were also accused of bringing the municipality.]
Curi: They only "party". I saw that "DJ Basha". After he fried the egg and said to his wife "don't take me, honey, don't throw it away"... Because he doesn't do politics, he goes to work.
Bejko : It's the best thing. Even that policy is. Bill Clinton did it too. Everyone expresses their passion.
Curi: ... but Basha doesn't like it, because she doesn't know how to do it... Basha still hasn't found her originality. It's different up close and I don't know why it comes out of it. My unscientific perception is that most of the democrats I meet are neither with one nor the other, because Basha is a continuation of Berishism.
