The head of state, Bajram Begaj, has congratulated the new President who was elected in North Macedonia, Silanovska-Davkova.
Through a post on the X social network, Begaj says that together with Silanovska-Davkova they will continue to strengthen the relations between the two countries.
"Congratulations to Gordana Silanovska-Davkova, who was elected the first female president of North Macedonia. I am sure that together we will continue to strengthen the real and excellent Macedonia between friendly languages, as members of NATO and as other members of EU, a cause for which the Albanian community in the North remains in devoted families.
For the first time since the beginning of the 90s, North Macedonia elected a president of the state. University professor Gordana Silanovska-Davkova, who is supported by the ruling party, VMRO-DPMNE, won the presidential runoff on May 8 against Social Democratic League candidate Stevo Pendarovski, until now president.
In the first speech before the public, after the victory, Silanovska-Davkova said that she will be president for life, in her ethnic or party zone. From this moment we will act as the president of all, all ethnic groups, all party members, those who unite the president who is not in the party...
He told the neighbors to support, as he said, balkanization, other and true policies. "We must begin to understand - distinguish, help each other, not ask for a veto. My roads first lead to the Balkans, and, of course, Brussels is not outside", said Silanovska-Davkova", writes Begaj.
Congratulations to @gogamkd on being elected as the first female President of North Macedonia.
