The former prime minister, Sali Berisha, has made strong accusations against judge Irena Gjoka, who is judging his case.
Speaking from the balcony of his house, where he has been under house arrest since December 30, Berisha said that the judge was expelled from a foreign country and therefore used a different last name.
In front of the sympathizers who had gathered under his house, Berisha claims that Irena Gjoka also used the last name "Spata". For this, he has been addressed with public questions, and while he has not spared the labeling as "ordinary thief, shameless, immoral".
"Here in front of you, I asked a question to that shameless judge, or should we say frankly, scum of the judge. I asked him a question; have you ever been kicked out of a place for dirty work? He did not reply. Tonight I will ask, on behalf of you and all Albanians, this scum of a judge; Have you ever used the last name Spata because you had to? Have you ever called yourself Irena Spata? You have no shame, you are an ordinary thief, shameless, without morals, without anything, who is kept there as a slave to your crimes. Tonight I say these things in the name of your nightly battle", accused Berisha.
This is the second case that the former prime minister has revealed scandals from the past of the GJKKO judge. Sali Berisha discovered a few months ago that this judge is in a conflict of interest after being dismissed by him for corruption and violation in 1996.
But the situation is more serious since the judge, when she appeared before the vetting, hid the fact of her dismissal from the KLD led by Sali Berisha in 1996, while her colleagues were dismissed from the justice system for lighter facts.
