Lulzim Basha returned to the head of the Democratic Party on July 29, where he was able to win against the candidate Gjergj Hani, thus regaining the leadership of the Democratic Party.
The head of the Electoral Commission in the DP, Jemin Gjana, announced the result, where he said that Basha had secured 16,196 votes, while Gjergj Hani received 1,657 votes. 18,052 members or 71% participated in the election process for the head of the DP.
Thus, Lulzim Basha won for the 4th time the race within the Democratic Party and was elected chairman for a fourth term.
