Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha seems to have changed course from what he said a while ago. Berisha declared that if he were to be stripped of his immunity by the Assembly, he would implement every measure of justice and even stated that he and those who follow him would vote in favor of SPAK's request.
However, Sali Berisha has stated today that the deputies next to him will not participate in the voting of the report that will be sent by the Council of Mandates. He said that the action of destabilization will continue and the deputies will not be part of any vote. His statement was made after the meeting of the parliamentary group.
" The opposition MPs do not participate in any voting. The opposition votes with civil disobedience. I have not been notified by the Assembly. I will read the official decision because I have been recognized by the media. The Presidency of the Parliament will deliver the decision and the relationship to me, and the position is: The basis is my proposal to remove any type of immunity.
I will implement the decision of the Assembly. I did this so that no one can take power from Parliament. I did not defend myself, but I defended the Constitution. Irresponsible judges and political puppets allowed themselves to write the articles of the Constitution on the table. Shamefully declare that the restriction of going abroad is not a deprivation of freedom ," he said.
