The deputy of the Democratic Party, Flutura Açka, considered the majority's initiative to change the Parliament's Regulation on the punishment of deputies to be a shameful act.
Açka emphasized that deputies cannot be expelled 30 days after acquitting thousands of citizens.
"It seems to me a very ugly thing. The recent action of the majority to change the rules of Parliament is shameful. What happens in Parliament can be embarrassing. From what I have seen and felt, how the Speaker of the Parliament herself was involved in this violence that started, because she did not divide things. It was also a silent consent of theirs.
Why shouldn't the majority take advantage of avoiding as many soldiers as possible from the battle?! I heard that this is a project they got from Germany. Where can you hear in Germany that the deputy is expelled for 30 days. You will exclude him for 30 days, even when he leaves, the deputy must vote. The deputy is thousands of people who have voted for him. This is a big mistake and a violation of the Constitution. Creating a shameful thing, which are these new rules for something that you can consider shameful, is a violation of the Constitution and anti-democratic," said Açka.
Today, the Council for Regulation, Mandates and Immunity, as expected, approved only with majority votes the request of the SP to change the regulation of the Assembly.
The changes will be passed to the Assembly in the session of Thursday, December 14, where the new regulation of the Assembly is expected to be approved.
The changes in the regulation consist in the 2-month exclusion of the deputies from the Assembly, starting from the chaos created in recent weeks by the deputies of the Reestablishment and deputies of the Bardhi group.
