Prime Minister Edi Rama from Elbasan called on citizens to vote for the Socialist Party in the parliamentary elections on May 11th.
As for the leader of the DP, Sali Berisha, Rama said that he is now a hopeless man, calling on the Democrats not to go after a desperate old man.
"We all need to take as many people with us as possible by May 11, make as many phone calls as possible with those in emigration. Everyone should return the envelope. The elections are what the Albanian people will do in the meeting with history. Our meeting with history is to overcome resentments, party colors. We must focus on the most beautiful flag in the world and the flag of the most beautiful dream in the world. Today, whoever invests with a vote is to receive a European passport. I want to tell all parents that on May 11 they should think about their children who do not have the right to vote ," he said.
Rama further stated that it is very important that on May 11th they forget about parties, but think about the future and Albania's European passport.
"We must close the negotiations, give the children a gift that is more precious than any monetary value. With that passport, parents should think that they are doing for them what others for centuries could never do, giving them the status of equals with the children of Italy and giving them a European identity. Then I see free European children growing up ," he said.
