Lawyer Spartak Ngjela, analyzing the situation in the Democratic Party, has also commented on the return to political life of Lulzim Basha.
In an interview for the show "Frontline" on "News24", Ngjela said that Basha resigned in a moral way because he lost the elections, as at this moment he has the right to re-candidate for the president of the Democrats and that he has the support of the Americans.
He added that every party leader withdraws to gain strength and enters the game again, while adding that on the other hand, Sali Berisha has no right to compete for this position as he is not an official member of the DP.
"Basha resigned morally because he lost the elections. He did not say he will run away from politics. Only Saliu does not resign when he loses. It is understood that there is a direct relationship between American politics and Basha. For this reason, he expelled Berisha from the party. Lulzim Basha started this action and after this movement, he comes and resigns because he lost the elections. There comes a moment when we are facing new elections and the politician's mind is filled with the fact that the PD is in the process for a new leader, he has the right to run again.
Basha resigned due to the defeat. Each party leader retreats to gain strength and reenters the game. The main issue is whether he has the right to run again or not? He has. He took acts for the benefit of democracy in the country by expelling non-women from the party. These are in favor of American policy in the country. He now re-enters to take the party. Berisha has no right to compete for the head of the DP. He is not a member of the DP ", he said.
