The vote on May 11 is for the dignity of citizens, for the dignity of every Albanian. This is the call that the Democratic Party leader, Sali Berisha, addressed to Albanians, at the closing rally of the 'Greater Albania Alliance' coalition campaign.
Berisha presented parts of the Democratic Party's program, focusing particularly on support for young people and pensioners, but also on setting a living wage of 200 euros.
The Democratic leader said that Edi Rama gave you two kilos of pumpkin seeds for one term, while I guarantee that every young couple will have an apartment, providing them with a grant of 30 thousand euros that will pay the interest on the loan.
"Today, only one day separates us from May 11, the day of the most important decision that we Albanians of all generations have made and will make in our lives.
The day of the decision that gives us the chance to save Albania, to save the Albanians, from this dictatorship that deserted it, that impoverished it, that isolated it more than any other regime in time.
So today, here before you, I want to make an appeal to the hundreds and thousands of noble men and women, the gray-haired ones who sacrificed their lives for Albania, join us on May 11th, vote for change because your vote will be, first and foremost, a vote for your dignity.
Because your vote will also be a vote to punish those ruthless people who in the most inhumane way despised you, humiliated you, forced you noble people to cry cold tears of misery.
No, on May 11, you vote that within 100 days, Albania will not have a pension below 200 euros. Once again, 560 thousand men and women who today have a pension below 172 euros, within 100 days will have a pension of 200 euros.
All other pensioners will have their pensions increased by 20 percent.
And I guarantee you that this race will not stop until you, noble men and women, are paid better than all the pensioners in the region.
Your country, with your sweat, is the richest in the region and you deserve it.
Young men and women, you who are voting on the 11th for the first time, have a bright future.
And to all of you who are going on May 11, your vote carries the weight of your life, it carries the weight of your future, it carries the weight of your beautiful dream.
In the 100 days, we lay the foundations for every young man and woman to think and realize the Albanian dream in Albania.
Our solemn commitment is that funding for education will be doubled.
Your schools will be modernized and you, no child will remain illiterate.
That no child will be left without high school.
There will be no average for you in universities.
Your education and employment is our solemn commitment.
Dear young men and women, never forget that on May 11th, voting is also for your dignity.
You are dignified young people, you heard it with your own ears when a deranged man, an unbalanced man, told you that for the fourth term we will provide you with two kilos of pumpkin seeds, in a great insult to the young Albanian men and women.
The next government will announce the youth pact.
The next government wants the Startup Albania pact.
Every young person will be employed within a year after graduation in a private or public enterprise.
With the Startup Albania fund, every young person will receive a 5 thousand euro grant.
Any entrepreneur who hires you will receive a 70 percent tax discount.
Don't forget one thing, that the battle of our lives is to bring the nation back to its youth.
Therefore, there will be a special fund for your talents, with which you will be supported for all your creativity, in art, science, sports, in all fields.
Today, the man who brought you 2 kg of pumpkin seeds is offering you an apartment for 108 years of work.
We guarantee that every young couple will have a roof over their heads.
30 thousand euros to pay the loan interest.
70 euros for the first baby. 60 euros for the second baby.
"For the third, government payments from birth to 23 years old," said Berisha.
