The deputy of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, says that the battle for Protected Areas has not ended despite the approval of the law in parliament.
She warns that the opposition will take the law to the Constitutional Court if the President also signs it.
According to Tabak, the approval of this law is an unprecedented act.
"The law is essentially a law that marks another step towards the destruction of protected areas, the capture of strategic investments in these areas, but at the same time also the violation of EU directives.
I have been in contact with colleagues from the European Parliament, with the European Commission to raise this to another level. But of course the battle will continue, in coordination with the entire civil society and in support of them when they go to the president, we will simultaneously prepare the lawsuit for the Constitutional Court.
The Parliament of Albania is in a very difficult position, at a very important moment, but nevertheless, every law that passes here, every act that is approved here must be in the spirit and in the letter of EU legislation. We can no longer accept such laws that simply notarize corruption", writes Tabaku in her reaction.
