Prime Minister Edi Rama, speaking about the boycott of the opposition in the Parliament, declared that the government will not withdraw from its positions. He further added that the boycott is a wrong solution.
Rama said that he made this mistake himself in 2009, as he emphasized that if he were in the same conditions today, he would not do the same thing.
Further, he stung the opposition regarding its action, as he said that burning chairs and lighting flares in the Parliament, does not lead to any other place than under the balcony.
" We are not forced to do anything that gives a new blow to the state and democratic culture. I believe you remember that despite the fact that you are younger, when I told you that if we will open roads because of the boycott, we will have a non-stop boycott. You have heard those who have psycho-physical dilemmas that we will boycott. Why was the boycott buried as a tool because it was remembered that the boycott, through which you will bring everyone to the edge of the precipice, takes you to the bottom of the precipice and then the road to get to where it was is very long. Have you ever heard anyone, and from those who have these dilemmas between wrestling, boxing and politics, say that we will not enter the elections. Why? Because it was proven that if you don't participate in the elections, you eat it alone, while for years they fell prey to an inertia that told us to boycott. I am also a witness here as a protagonist in this inertia. If I were to go back to 2009, I would not boycott, but on the other hand, if I were to go back in my mind then, I would boycott.
It was a reasonable boycott for a completely simple reason. It was the crime that led us to the hunger strike, but I think we could have achieved that result even without the boycott. I say this because it was always the way you boycott, take over strikes, then the Americans, French, Belgians come and say find a solution. The day you were told no, stop here, you will boycott, live in a tent, fight death or freedom until you are old enough to go to your last apartment, but I can't eat the road like this.
