The Laws and Public Administration Committee was involved in debates today, as the agenda included, among other things, the election of new members of the Regulatory Commission of the Central Election Commission, with 3 members from the majority and 2 from the opposition, as well as the draft law on integrated waste management.
While the opening speech was delivered by the chairman Ulsi Manja and then by the representative of the SP, Damian Gjiknuri, it was the DP MP, Oert Bylykbashi, who commented on the latest political developments in the country, starting from the president's decree on the local by-elections.
"The violation is brutal. The President is no longer allowed to exercise his duties, he is unable to do his duties, so he should not continue in that position. The decree on the Tirana elections is a violation of the law and null, Rama appointed it! President Begaj must leave", he said, among other things, in his speech.
Chairman Manja drew his attention to not straying from the agenda and interrupted his speech, while Bylykbashi continued his speech, saying that the Prime Minister had influenced him.
"They are in violation of the law and deadlines. The Prime Minister has intervened and set the date. But the important thing is that the decreed date is null, because we still have the issue in the Constitutional Court. The President can do as many pirouettes as he wants. The President should leave, he should not continue that duty. The Constitutional Court does not forgive, in other cases it has acted immediately. There are violations of the law and the constitution by the President and the Prime Minister," he said, among other things.
Manja again intervened in the discussions held with Bylykbashi, cutting him off when they moved on to the point of the draft law on waste management, presented by the Minister of Environment, who was present.
"Let me finish, enforce the regulations," Bylykbashi told the head of the committee.
"No, you don't have to finish it, you have a clock that speaks...", the SP MP replied.
