The head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted after Prime Minister Edi Rama's comment on the decree of Begaj for the Investigative Commissions.
Bardhi writes that now Rama no longer even hides his role as President. He also emphasized that the time when Albania pretends to be like the rest of Europe is fading with Rama's government. According to Bardhi, our country is already in the race whether it will join the standards of Russia or North Korea.
"We fully understand that Edi Rama no longer hides his role, even as president of the Republic! He tells us what the president of the Republic can and cannot do. Advocacy against the unconstitutional, unilateral and shameful act of the president of the Republic, proves what the opposition says: Edi Rama is the orderer of the promulgation of the law today, with the absurd justification written in the President's reasoning that Edi Rama does not want to review the law. Even that Edi Rama does not want the law revised, we understand, because he is the one who has blocked parliamentary control over the executive.
How can Edi Rama agree to control the illegal intervention in the TIMS system, to erase the connections of his brother, Olsi Rama, with drug trafficking in the "Xibraka" file; how can Edi Rama agree to check that, in the health concession contracts, millions of euros go into Ilir Beqaj's pockets and not for health services for Albanian citizens; how can Edi Rama agree to control the implementation of the law on strategic investments, with which only his friends and comrades, including drug traffickers and those ordering murders, have been announced as investors?!
The time when Albania pretended to be like all of Europe, is fading during the government of Edi Rama. Now we are in a race to join the standards of Russia or North Korea. The opposition is fighting to prevent this from happening and we are determined to face it, so that we don't allow democracy to be replaced by autocracy!", writes Bardhi.
