Albana Vokshi, deputy of the DP, commented on the statements of the spokesperson of the CDU/CSU Group, Gunther Krichbaum. Vokshi said that this statement is more personal than in the name of the group he represents.
"I think he is misinformed, it seems to me a very personal statement that jumps out. Do you remember his statement when there was a debate about who the DP stamp belonged to, when he said in Tirana that the Supreme Court has decided where the stamp will go? I think he is misinformed", Vokshi said in the studio of the show "Open" on News24.
In a statement to the media, issued on Tuesday in Berlin, Krichbaum called for the immediate distancing of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha from the violent acts: "If Berisha still had any credibility, he would have to distance himself from this immediately kind of protest and expel the violent from the party. "Unfortunately, the suspicion arises that Berisha is further inciting these protests."
Regarding Berisha's house arrest, Krichbaum emphasized that SPAK is an independent and reliable institution, created under the pressure of the European Union, and that the accusation against Berisha is serious. According to him, in any country of the European Union, a politician with such charges would be in custody and not in a comfortable house arrest. Krichbaum emphasized that "Berisha should not be presented as a victim of a politically motivated process, but should face the charges against him".
