Former President Bamir Topi, analyzing the situation of the opposition, said that everything has become worthless in that party and that the Democrats have been betrayed. He was critical of his approach towards DP leader Sali Berisha, accusing him of having extinguished every free voice in the party.
"Berisha is the very person who has systematically destroyed the opposition. Every free voice that has tried to come out has been extinguished. Even the maneuvers to work with leaders of other opposition parties who have a life that is there like Berisha are an attempt to monopolize a system. The same thing happens on the other side, they have the same characteristics. Politics is linked to power. The leader is very important, but the leader in a democratic formation. The problem is not that you have monopolized a party, but you have monopolized a system. Don't you think that these opposition people don't have benefits? The lowest level is when you think of a political position as a job, where you have benefits, salary, work, influence, this is the greatest betrayal that has been done to the democrats ," said Bamir Topi in an interview on "This Week" on News24.
