The Democratic Party seems completely incapable of providing answers, or taking responsibility for its actions. In fact, every day it gives the impression that every time decisions are made within the DP, everyone is affected by the disorder of Somnambulism.
MPs who act as if they have no idea what they have signed, half-hearted and justifiable statements to hide the fact that they are in a bargain with the Government. The most flagrant case was the one with the proposal of Endri Shabani as Ombudsman.
Although opposition MPs signed off on Shabani's name proposal, yesterday everyone left the Assembly hall when the SP approved the DP's proposal with 85 votes in favor.
When everything was over, today at his meeting with citizens and supporters in Elbasan, Berisha came out and said that it was a mistake to give the signatures, describing Shabani as Edi Rama's lawyer, despite the fact that he had ordered his own people to sign for him.
"It was a mistake, I admit it and you are concerned. The mistake was with the signatures of Endri Shabani, Edi Rama's lawyer, and I apologize. Those signatures were given during the period when there was support for our Tirana candidate and those signatures were immediately withdrawn, each of the MPs removed those signatures immediately ," Berisha said.
