The Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party is expected to protest today in Strasbourg on some issues related to the government which is accused of legal violations.
The opposition will hold the protest today at the doors of the European Parliament, where it is learned that around 40 deputies will join them. The deputies will be divided into two groups, one of which is thought to enter the European parliamentary session, while the other will protest outside the premises of the European Parliament.
The group, which is thought to enter the European Parliament, will seek awareness and information on the political situation in which Albania is located.
Likewise, apart from this group, the rest of the deputies unfurled banners in front of the European Parliament and protested for a certain time to draw the attention of the Europeans to the situation in Albania, which they consider the birth of a dictatorial regime.
This movement of the Democratic Party comes after the scenarios of chaos in the Assembly and the violent protest of October 7, actions that were taken by the Democratic Party after Ervin Salianji was sentenced to 1 year in prison for false reporting in the "Babale" file.
The opposition MPs will discuss the issue of Sali Berisha, who is under the security measure "house arrest", for the privatization of the former "Partizani" complex, as well as the arrest of the former MP, Ervin Salianji, of which the democrats have described as "captured by politics". The opposition MPs demand awareness about their causes, the exclusions from the Assembly after the chaos scenarios, requests for a technical government, or even the punishment of Salianj and the security measures given to Sali Berisha, which they consider unfair.
The deputies who will be at the protest are: Gazment Bardhi, Edmond Spaho, Lefter Gështenja, Helidon Bushati, Ramadan Likaj, Flamur Hoxha, Flamur Noka, Edi Paloka, Agron Gjekmarkaj, Jorida Tabaku, Albana Vokshi, Oerd Bylykbashi, Asllan Dogjani, Isuf Çela, Dhurata Çupi, Elda Hoti, Qani Xhafa, Lindita Metaliaj, Xelal Mziu, Kasem Mahmutaj, Kastriot Piroli, Ilda Dhori, Bledion Nallbati, Saimir Korreshi, Petrit Doda, Zheni Gjergji, etc. The head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, announced that the DP Group started the official visit to the European Parliament yesterday.
Deputies Gazment Bardhi, Flamur Noka, Jorida Tabaku, Agron Gjekmarkaj and Albana Vokshi met today with MEPs Sandro Gozi and Oihane Agirregoitia Martínez, representatives of the "Renew Europe" parliamentary group.
The news was announced by the Chairman of the PD Parliamentary Group Gazment Bardhi, through an announcement on social networks, where, among other things, he wrote that "it is unimaginable for any European friend of Albania to perceive that our country, even though it is a candidate country for the EU, executed the rule of law, destroyed the balance between powers, and eliminated free elections".
