For the first time, Albania will hold a Summit on the situation in Ukraine. On Wednesday, President Volodymyr Zelensky will be in the Albanian capital, while many other leaders of the region and the EU will join the summit.
The summit will be held at the Palace of Congresses and will be divided into several sessions. These sessions will be behind closed doors, as at the end it is expected that there will be a press conference, where details of the conclusions reached will be given. The plan is for Zelensky to arrive in Tirana tomorrow evening, but this will depend on the war situation in Ukraine. Anyway, from tomorrow Albania will be under curfew, due to security measures for the Ukrainian Prime Minister and other leaders who will come to the summit.
According to information, Kosovo will be represented at this summit by President Vjosa Osmani, while Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has also accepted the invitation. The latter seems that with this participation it gives a "blow" to Moscow on the one hand and on the other, it confirms the game with two goals. Although he does not impose sanctions on Russia, Vucic joins a summit where Russian aggression is condemned and in the end conclusions will be reached that will require his signature.
It is learned that the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan will also be present virtually. He will speak via an online link. There was no way to miss his presence, since the summit comes just a few days after Rama's visit to Turkey.
