Today is the sixth day of the recount of votes for parties and candidates for the Tirana district. The process is expected to start at 09:00, while, so far, 606 boxes out of 1282 in total have been opened.
The DP continues to have the most unmerited votes (309), with a difference of 223 from the PS, which may be invalid votes or votes received by small parties. The Albania Initiative Coalition also has 33 unmerited votes, PSD 25, Lëvizja Bashkë 17, and the Opportunity Party has 12. These votes were deducted from the initial count.
Meanwhile, the Euro-Atlantic Coalition has 20 votes added, which it turns out they have received from the first count. The Right Coalition for Development also turns out to have received 7 votes from May 11. Ilir Meta also has 49 votes without merit, while Jorida Tabaku has 65 votes without merit, but that does not constitute a change in the result of the mandate she won against Alimehmet.
In the SP, Minister Ervin Hoxha has 256 votes without merit, Xhemal Qefalia has 130, and Fatmir Xhafaj has 125. These votes were deducted from the result of the first count. Olta Xhaçka, who won the mandate with a small margin over Blerina Gjylameti, has 46 votes without merit. Meanwhile, Gjylameti has only 1.
So far these results do not produce a change in the results, but the opening of all the boxes is expected.
