After the experience with ammunition in Gërdec where 26 people were killed, Fatmir Mediu seems to have started to pass himself off as a war expert. While justice turns a blind eye to him and lets him go free, Fatmir has now started to give guidance on how security agencies should function.
Although he acknowledges that it is up to the military and intelligence services to determine whether Albania is threatened or not, Mediu insists that the National Security Council must convene.
" The National Security Council only has the right to advise, but it no longer meets to advise. It is unacceptable that a NATO member country does not have a structure for analyzing security issues periodically and permanently. Especially considering the problems in the Balkans, the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the problems in the Middle East, we should conduct periodic analysis and not watch American television and say what President Donald Trump likes ," Mediu declared.
