Alesia Balliu, who did not run in the May 11 elections for deputy in the Elbasan Region, even though she was among the names voted in the DP primaries, said that the Democratic Party's loss in the elections was expected.
She stated on MCN that the vote recount serves the Democratic Party to gain time.
"I didn't expect anything from the vote recount. The Democratic Party is using it to gain time, it's using it to have senior election officials come out and say that the votes were bought."
The recount serves to oblivion, because by introducing tedious technical legal procedures, people get bored and forget and no longer talk about the elections, neither the victory of the Socialist Party nor the defeat of the Democratic Party.
The opposition's defeat was expected, for the Democratic Party to win it must represent spirit.
Everything should lead to the victory of the Socialist Party, and where there is a lack of spirit, there is no way to achieve victory.
Even if the elections were held again tomorrow, the Democratic Party would lose again.
"Vote alienation happens, from buying off the administration to forgiving fines, but I don't believe that anyone else will win a mandate from the vote recount," she said.
