The resignation of Jorgo Goro, Fredi Beleri speaks from the cell: Rama took two
Fredi Beleri and Edi Rama

The candidate who won the Himara elections, Fredi Beleri, has reacted to the news of Jorgo Goro's resignation from the Himara Municipality.

In a post made on 'Facebook', Beleri says that Rama took two very important steps towards reality.

According to him, the prime minister learned 7 months after the elections that the citizens of Himara elected him as mayor and secondly, they sent home the previous mayor who was his chosen one.

"Rama's move, to balance Albanian-Greek relations", the Greek media reveal the behind-the-scenes of Jorgo Goro's resignation

Beleri says that Goro, despite having lost the municipal elections, hastened to announce his "resignation".

'Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, with his post on the X network (formerly Twitter) on December 22, 2023, took two very important steps towards reality. Seven months after the municipal elections, he learned that the citizens of Himara first elected me as mayor and secondly sent home the previous mayor who was his chosen one.

Immediately after the announcement, Goro, the man who remained mayor for so many months despite losing the municipal elections, rushed to announce his "resignation". He didn't actually resign, but he gave up his long-lost post. After all, he was a puppet. I welcome Edi Rama's important steps towards reality. But it is a half-step in relation to what he should do immediately. I am informed that he wants to appoint someone else as interim chairman. He even mentioned that he will follow the "best European practices". I help him in his search by noting that:

Whoever takes over as interim mayor until my release and inauguration must be one of the councilors of the municipal faction with which we won the municipal elections of May 2023. He cannot be unrelated to the vote of the people of Himara against the elections of municipal end and cannot be from another area outside the municipality of Himara. This is what the "best European practices" say. Any attempt by Rama to "plant" a chosen one away from the Himariotes' elections is contrary to democratic principles and fundamentally wrong.

Seven days after the rejection of my request for special permission, Edi Rama as the spokesperson of the Court issued the decision. I, through my lawyers, nine days later have not taken the decision in my hands. How did Rama find the decision when he is not a party to the process? Did the "impartial" judge go to Rama and give him the decision?

Two days ago, Rama, through a post on social networks, said that the decision of GJKKO not to give permission to Beleri to take the oath is right, as he warned that Jorgo Goro could no longer remain in office.', writes Beleri. in his post.
