The President of the PL, Ilir Meta, has reacted from the cell, where he has been detained since October 2024 by decision of the GJKKO, regarding the report published by the US Inspector General, regarding what is known as the file of Charles McGonigal, the former head of counterintelligence for the FBI office in New York.
In his reaction, Meta states that Edi Rama, through connections with corrupt foreign figures such as Charles McGonigal and George Soros, has seized justice in Albania.
Meta calls this an international scandal that shakes the foundations of the current government. He demands a full and transparent investigation, describing the "McGonigal" case as a proven state crime.
"Ramaforma" was a "great opportunity" only for the Chief Drug Trafficker Edi Rama to hijack the country's government, as well as for corrupt internationals like Charles McGonigal and George Soros, but a huge loss for the Albanian people.
"Only a full and transparent investigation of the "McGonigal" case restores justice on the tracks of the Constitution and the European Convention on Human Rights, but this investigation cannot be carried out by those who secretly met with McGonigal as real mafiosi and who have blocked the investigation of this proven state crime for three years," Meta said.
