Prime Minister Edi Rama surprised his parliamentary group at the end of the marathon meeting, where in addition to the issues of the day and the "isolation" of the opposition, he put a weighty idea on the table: amending the Constitution.
This statement comes at a delicate political moment, where electoral and territorial reforms are under discussion, justice is being hit hard, and when rumors have increased that Rama may seek another political career.
Rama used the reduction in the number of MPs as an excuse, but in fact the reform will be greater.
" A group for constitutional amendments should be established. We have a Parliament with 140 members, while we could have it with 100 members. Something that the public would welcome, which would rationalize forces and resources and so on. But it's not just this. There are other aspects that certainly need to be revisited by people who know what they see, know what they read, know what they say and what they write when it comes to the Constitution of Albania. So a group should be established, which then opens a process. Of course, it is much more than an electoral reform or a territorial administrative reform, so it requires much more space, commitment, resources and so on. But this work must be started. This work must be started, our ambition should be that at the end of the mandate we pass another constitutional reform ," said Rama.
But this statement has immediately raised doubts about the true political intentions. Sources from within the SP and circles close to the majority do not rule out the possibility that Rama is preparing the ground to covet the post of President of the Republic, after the end of his fourth mandate. To this end, he may request that the President be elected by popular vote, an idea that has been circulating "under the rug" recently and that would add legitimacy to his candidacy.
Rama is expected to satisfy the DP's whims on electoral and territorial reform, and it could provide Rama with the 94 votes needed to amend the Constitution. In this way, Rama would have the opportunity to dictate a constitutional reform with far-reaching institutional effects, including the modalities of the election of the President, the structure of the Assembly, and perhaps other restrictions that consolidate majority control.
So far, there has been no mention of the impact of justice reform, but critical voices warn that any reopening of the Constitution could also serve to test the limits of influence over SPAK and the new justice institutions. Rama eshte nje i burgosur i lene ne liri per pak kohe. Eshte si te thuash ne arrest te lire. I kane dhene kohe te negocioj fatin e tij. Bileten ja kane prere. Abuzoi, do paguaj. Dhe pjesen tjeter te jetes ta kaloj ne burg duhet ta konsideroj veten me fat se sa jetoj i lire jetoj si mbret.
Amerikanet e rrezuan edhe Binin ne 2021 por ai u rikthye edhe me i fuqishem mbas 1 muaji. Keshtu qe mos ta ngacmojn shume se mund ti marr 94 mandate pastaj Rama dhe te beje cte doje me Kushtetuten.
Se kuptoj kete popull bageti, pse e voton kete psikopat!!!
