The political delegate of the Socialist Party in Vlora, Bledi Çuçi, held a meeting yesterday with the leadership of the Socialist councilors in Vlora, at the party headquarters, to discuss the name that will be proposed as the successor to Mayor Ermal Dredha.
According to the media, Çuçi emphasized that it is not good for socialist councilors to come up with several names at Monday's meeting, so there should be a single candidacy.
According to him, since the biggest problem has been with public works and infrastructure, the most suitable name to replace Dredha is Elis Halili.
However, this proposal was not the only name.
Ermal Dredha himself also participated in the meeting, expressing regret for leaving his mandate midway.
"We could have done more, but we did the best for the city," he said to those present. Meanwhile, it is learned that Elis Halili himself was also present.
The latter was appointed as the third vice president by Ermal Dredha himself before resigning from office.
Meanwhile, on Monday, September 22, the Vlora Municipal Council will meet to elect a mayor-designate for the Municipality.
