The Deputy Chairman of the Security Committee, Klevis Balliu, has reacted after the assassination attempt that occurred yesterday evening in Elbasan, describing the public order situation as unprecedented.
Balliu says that in just two weeks the country has been shaken by three mafia attacks, starting with the serious incident at the airport, which according to him exposed the penetration of organized crime into state structures.
He said that the event in Lushnje and the assassination in Elbasan show the "complete collapse of public order and security."
Balliu emphasizes that the cartels operate with complete security because they find political guarantees from the current government, which he describes as their government, established and maintained with the support of the criminal world.
"Two weeks, three mafia assassinations. The silent alliance between gangs and the government has turned the country into an arena of violence.
The airport assassination exposed the penetration of crime into state institutions, followed by the events in Lushnje and Elbasan, which show the collapse of public order.
"The cartels act untouchable because they find political guarantees. This is their government, established and maintained with the support of the criminal world. Today, the lives of citizens are insecure, because the power of Edi Rama has become the main shield of the cartels," writes Balliu.
