"Foltore2", will Berisha manage to calm the militants?

Berisha has been asked in various ways to renew or refresh the leadership structures of the DP, while there is a clash both on social networks and in the media against clans or groups that seem to have crystallized in this party and that aim to gain ground...

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha begins his "Speaker Tour" this week, thus repeating what he did 4 years ago, when he landed at the base of PD militants and supporters, to take over the leadership of the party.

But unlike the first round, in this "Foltore2", Berisha seems to aim to calm the militants, who are showing their revolts after the defeat in the May 11 elections, against the DP leadership.

The signal for the revolt was given by a lady from Paskuqan, who did not hesitate to oppose Flamur Noka, the General Secretary of the Democratic Party and one of Sali Berisha's most trusted men.

Likewise, another signal is the apathy shown in the participation of democrats in what is considered the 'Citizen Parliament', a form of protest below Edi Rama's office on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard.

But the comments and reactions on social media are another signal that the democratic leader seems to have received from the DP base, disappointed not only by the result of May 11, but also by the way the leadership of the largest opposition force is managing the situation after the defeat.

Likewise, there was strong criticism and accusations of bargaining when the deputies entered the Assembly and received their mandates, even though for weeks on end the DP headquarters declared that the result of the electoral farce would not be recognized.

Berisha has been asked in various ways to renew or refresh the leadership structures of the Democratic Party, while there is a clash both on social networks and in the media against clans or groups that seem to have crystallized in this party and that aim to gain ground.

But Berisha himself has also stated that a reform is needed, a rapprochement of new figures and names, but without giving explanations on how this can be achieved, when there is no sign of the displacement of those on his side. The democratic leader a day ago put an end to any hypothesis that he could withdraw, could leave the leadership of the DP, to pave the way for a race, while saying that he is on a mission.

And it seems that this will be the thesis that Berisha will hold in 'Speech 2'. He will present himself as a missionary who will aim to fulfill the goal: the removal of Edi Rama and the creation of conditions for early elections, and the return of the DP to power.

And likewise, Berisha will repeat the appeal to the DP branches to bring new figures closer, to analyze, expose and hold accountable, theses that he says almost every day, but it seems that they are not catching on.

Berisha is clear that he has the militants on his side, a perhaps insignificant minority may express the idea that he too should leave, but when it comes to the other names in the DP leadership, the criticism and dissatisfaction are endless.

Therefore, what is not known and remains to be seen is whether the democratic leader will be able to calm his militants about those he considers his 'closest collaborators'.   /Pamphlet/
