Former MP Luciano Boçi says that the tax burden on citizens has increased. In a statement to the media, he said that Rama doubles the reference prices of properties.
Boçi says that the Democratic Party is against this taxation that increases the fiscal burden of families and businesses.
"These taxes are an execution of the opportunity for savings for Albanian families, children's education and another push towards bankruptcy for thousands of small businesses.
Bochi's full statement:
If you are thinking of buying an apartment in Tirana, depending on the area you will have to pay from 5 to 76 percent more.
If you currently have an apartment or business in Tirana, the annual tax you will pay will also increase.
This happens because the reference prices have increased by government decision, already published in the official notebook for the 32 cadastral areas of Tirana.
The increase in fiscal prices will automatically lead to an increase in the annual tax payment of apartments, commercial units and other buildings, since the tax is calculated on the value of the house or shop.
For both categories, the local government calculates the value of the building based on the reference prices.
What stands out in this extreme increase is the fact that the areas that were once known as cheap, such as the New Ring, the Flour Factory, the former Aviation Field, Yzberisht, etc. will cost the citizen 76% more or 450 euros per square meter.
These areas for a long time have been preferred by young families or those who came from districts with modest financial opportunities.
Oligarchic interests in construction are behind this decision, because after this increase only big builders will be able to invest. The major victims are Albanian citizens and small builders.
This decision by Edi Rama and the builders in his hall does not only affect those who will buy from today, but also those who have a house or business currently. Even for them, that is, every citizen, their tax burden will increase.
Businesses will be affected even more, up to 91 percent, because the formula for calculating the tax value of the building is calculated as twice the fiscal price per square meter of the apartments.
Even closed parking lots and basements will not escape this, and will increase from 2 to 78% for the 32 cadastral areas of Tirana.
There is also an increase for the owners of manufacturing factories, warehouses and open parking lots.
The Democratic Party is against this taxation that increases the fiscal burden of families and businesses. These taxes are an execution of the opportunity for savings for Albanian families, children's education and another push towards bankruptcy for thousands of small businesses.
With our arrival in the direction of the country, we will reduce all these taxes and consider their increase an inhumane measure of the Rama government.
