Prime Minister Edi Rama presented the new program "Double Your Enterprise", an initiative that aims to financially support small and medium-sized enterprises, through a credit line with lower interest rates and sovereign guarantees from the government.
During a meeting with agrotourism representatives in Tirana, Rama explained the program's mechanism and the categories that will benefit.
" This meeting aims to help not only you who are here, but all those who are interested in being informed about the new opportunities that will be made available to all those who want to be protagonists in this field. I want to start with the new national program that we are preparing, which will be launched soon. At the end of the month we will have the agreement between the Bank of Albania, the second-tier banks and the government for a financing line supported by the Albanian government, to support any project for anyone who has a small or medium-sized enterprise and who intends to grow it. We have called the project 'double your enterprise'. This project will be supported by a credit line of the Bank of Albania, which will be processed by the second-tier banks based on applications and will be guaranteed by the Albanian government with a sovereign guarantee and will have a lower loan interest rate than commercial loans. Plus, there will be a limit of up to 2 million euros. It will not be "It cannot be accessed by large companies, but it will be accessed by Start-Ups, small and medium-sized enterprises, workshops and agrotourism that want to grow ," Rama declared.
The meeting was held in the context of discussions on the “Mountain Package”, a program that aims to promote the development of mountain tourism and agrotourism. The political leader of the Tirana district, Ogerta Manastirliu, was also present at this event, and she emphasized the growing interest in these initiatives.
