For this matter, a prosecutor has been assigned to carry out investigative actions.
The former president of the Special Court Irena Gjoka, at the same time the judge of the criminal file No. 287 who set the security measures "house arrest" for the former prime minister Sali Berisha and "prison arrest" for his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, has referred to SPAK, Argita Malltezin.
The criminal report of Irena Gjoka was filed in the SPAK special prosecutor's office at the beginning of October. While a prosecutor has already been charged with this matter to carry out investigative actions.
Gjoka's indictment consists of and is supported by several public statements made by the daughter of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, Argita Berisha (Malltezi), who during a press conference held in September 2024, accused Gjoka of having received 500,000 euros and for this episode, according to Malltez, there is also a video.
According to judge Gjoka's claims, the statements are untrue and are aimed at intimidating, blackmailing and insulting her figure as a judge.
All the more that Gjoka claims that all these attacks and insults come as a result of her decision-making in the criminal file against Argita Berisha's father, Mr. Sali Berisha and her husband, Mr. Jamarbër Maltezit.
SPAK has already administered the criminal report of Judge Gjoka and is expected to call Mrs. Argita Berisha (Malltezi) to testify in the prosecution within the month of October 2024.
Most likely, the latter will appear to give her claims, related to the statements made publicly to judge Irena Gjoka.
We recall that during a press conference held on September 23, 2024, Argita Malltezi announced that according to informal sources, at least 17 prosecutors and judges of the special structure are in the "Encrochat" file.
She said that there is also a video of judge Irena Gjoka demanding 500 thousand euros.
"...The judge in the case, Irena Gjoka, is also claimed to be in a video, is it true, I don't know, I am told that it is in a video taken from a mobile phone of a journalist who left Albania, in which she is filmed talking to a former exponent of the Socialist Party, negotiating the fee he is asking for of 500,000 euros in order not to include her in a structured criminal group...", stated Malltezi.
But this statement has not been welcomed by judge Irena Gjoka, who sees it as intimidation, insult and a violation of her image as a judge, demanding investigative actions for this case.
After this report, the entire Berisha family is now under verification by SPAK, where apart from the head of the opposition Sali Berisha, his wife Liri, son Shkëlzen Berisha, son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi, Argita Berisha has also been added, who will have to enter the SPAK to give explanations./ Ora News
