The 12 migrants from Bangladesh and Egypt left the camp in Gjadër and boarded the Italian coast guard ship.
The 12 immigrants were accommodated in the Gjadri camp for 3 days, while according to the decision of the Court of Rome, they will be returned to Italy.
An Italian coast guard ship arrived this morning at the port of Shengjin, while a bus under strong security measures transported the group of 12 immigrants from Gjadri to the port. The whole process lasted only a few minutes, and after the formal procedures, the group of immigrants boarded the ship.
Most likely, the ship with the 12 migrants will stop at the port of Bari and then the migrants will be accommodated in a reception center, where they will have a 14-day deadline to appeal the decision that rejects their asylum.
According to the Italian government, the Gjadri camp will continue to be operational and only migrants deemed to be arriving from safe countries will be accommodated there.
