Edi Rama's harsh reaction after the Molotov cocktail and fireworks protest did not produce any concrete political act against the DP, but served as an intimidating signal to SPAK. Analysis of his behavior, compared to Sali Berisha's practices over the years, shows that both represent the same philosophy of rule, elimination of rivals and division of political, economic and institutional power. The public rivalry between them strengthens both, while the secret symbiosis holds the political transition and justice in Albania hostage.

In fact, there was no political stance towards the DP, as politics is accompanied by concrete acts, which can be laws, decisions or even denunciations to the prosecutor's office for what happened.
All of Edi Rama's coded language, which with those words only strengthens and armors Sali Berisha in the eyes of his supporters as a "resistance fighter", was directed against SPAK, just like the speech in Parliament where he used the name of the Trump family, or the January 21 speech where he instrumentalized the victims of that tragedy.
Edi Rama, in Albanian politics, represents nothing, except the other side of the coin of post-communist Albania, where Sali Berisha stands.
The two are, if not Siamese brothers, political father and son in the full sense, as they represent the same philosophy of thought and judgment for the rule of Albanian politics.
Edi Rama has implemented Sali Berisha's philosophy and agenda almost point by point in his politics.
He has been Machiavellian in alliances, but on the other hand, he has eliminated any political career within the Party from the very beginning, leaving the field around him not simply barren, but a desert.
Just as Sali Berisha did with Gramoz Pashko, the motion makers, Eduard Selami and others, Edi Rama has acted in the same way.
As soon as he came to the head of the Socialist Party, he ousted Ben Blushi from the position of parliamentary group leader two years later. He reined in Pandeli Majko and Rexhep Meidani, and then flattered Ilir Meta to destroy him politically.
He continued with Arben Malaj, Kastriot Islami and, after 2013, with Saimir Tahiri, Erion Veliaj, while he is also trying with Belinda Balluku, where it must be said that he has hit the nail on the head.
The logic of Berisha and Rama is the same: they have no political heirs, only regents. Neither in the DP nor in the SP does there exist today any figure who can be seen as a real successor.
The models of Lulzim Basha and Erion Veliaj are similar, with the difference that Veliaj is suffering more severely, because he played harder than Basha.
Being political rivals only enhances the Berisha-Rama couple, but does not necessarily make them enemies. On the contrary, together they have achieved the most traumatic agreements for the Albanian state, turning it into a republic of the prime minister and sharing economic power with a common oligarchy caste.
Logically, the two have separate interests, incompatible political and human knowledge and contexts, clashing agendas, and conflicts that could erupt.
However, at a later point, when neither of them will be gone and history will judge them coldly, it will be seen that their paths are simply fallow lands leading to the same estate, which they shared together, both political power and that of justice and the economy.
Even in the vetting bodies or in the new justice system, there is an almost perfect division between Saliu's people and Ed's people.
There is talk of internal clans, sometimes like Argita's, sometimes Olsi's or other lobbies, but in the end there is a space where, like children sharing the picked apples, everything maintains a clear symmetry.
A symmetry that constitutes the unchanging reality that holds the country hostage, but which has also conditioned the political life of this couple.
Berisha's departure would have a domino effect for Edi Rama. This is evidenced by the fact that immediately after Sali Berisha was declared "non grata", the US asked Edi Rama to prepare his departure.
Precisely for this reason, the prime minister and especially his entourage supported their political father, foiling the American plan, with the help of the oligarchs who financed Berisha's political survival.
Whoever says that Sali Berisha survived in the face of America because of his political strength either does not know the reality, or pretends not to know. Without the support of Edi Rama, who gave him the final stamp and implemented successive agreements since 2021, Berisha would not be politically active today.
At the same time, Edi Rama, without this symbiosis, would not simply be surrounded as today by SPAK and internationals, but politically assassinated./ Pamphlet
