The lack of contact between Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, after the last government meeting in Rome, signals not just a cooling off, but a strong political break between the two countries. Rama's visit to the Vatican, without any parallel meeting with Palazzo Chigi, reinforces the perception of his international isolation at a critical moment, when SPAK has launched an offensive against the government and the AKSHI scandal has shaken the majority. Despite the concessions given on the immigration issue and efforts to build a bridge with the Trump administration through Meloni, the Albanian prime minister seems to have lost political support in Rome. The signs of nervousness and the lack of diplomatic contacts indicate that the isolation has just begun and that Rama's political crisis is entering a new phase of escalation.
Giorgia Meloni seems to have "made oil" for her political brother Edi Rama, with whom she has had no contact since the meeting of the two governments in Rome.
The Italian Prime Minister has significantly increased her international positions, from Japan to the US, becoming Donald Trump's main interlocutor with the European Union, but it seems that she has completely turned off the lights with the Albanian Prime Minister.
Edi Rama was on an official visit to the Vatican yesterday, while he did not ensure any official contact with Palazzo Chigi, which is located very close to the Vatican.
It is clear that we are not simply dealing with a cooling of relations, but with a strong break in relations between Tirana and Rome.
A disruption that has a clear political line and that appears precisely through the blocking of any contact between Edi Rama and the Western world, at a key moment, at the start of SPAK's offensive in government offices, where the AKSHI scandal was also the bomb that really severely shocked Edi Rama.
Giorgia Meloni, Edi Rama gave every concession to favor him politically on the issue of immigration, where Gjadri was a helium bubble, which in reality, more than a solution, was pure propaganda and most likely a dubious affair.
Meanwhile, this approach takes on an even stronger connotation, as it was precisely through Giorgia Meloni that Edi Rama aimed to provide a bridge of communication with the Trump administration, with which the Italian Prime Minister has better relations than any other European leader.
But precisely after this attempt, the majority leader has also cut off all contact with his "sister" Giorgia. A fact that does not leave much room for speculation, as it clearly indicates a complete impasse, which appears as a political message.
A message that is not only given through cutting off high-level contacts, but also those at lower levels, as the prime minister has not even met with an ambassador from the main European Union countries.
Edi Rama's nervousness, which was clearly seen in Abu Dhabi, where he clashed with both the moderator from Greece and the Prime Minister of Montenegro, was not simply a volatile mood, which is not unusual for Rama's impulsive type, but a purely political concern.
The isolation has just begun and at this point we are experiencing the first phase of a process that is expected to escalate, until the final clash, where the end seems close and inevitable. /Pamphlet
