It is likely that the election of the presidency will be postponed to September, but rumors say that it may happen a week after the congress, where the changes that Edi Rama will make in his government in the fall are expected to be announced.
As it is learned, there is an increased anxiety among the ministers and some old deputies, due to the warning given by Edi Rama that he will remove 30% of the current deputies, and will renew the parliamentary body with young people.
Rama will present a survey form at the congress, which will be taken to the grassroots but also to the public to make an assessment of the current MPs and to propose profiles of the MPs they want. However, no one knows what can happen until September, but Edi Rama has made it clear to them that in the next elections none of the ministers will be heads of the respective regions. Niko Peleshi and Belinda Balluk also told them that if they want to keep the heads of the districts, they will have to leave the government. This is a big dilemma, since ministers are used to increasing votes by using government resources, while the appointment of another head can weaken their positions. It is very likely that the ministers will propose their own people to have them under control, but it is learned that Rama will offer precisely their rivals, to start a clash.
