The former head of the State Intelligence Service, Fatos Klosi, has commented on the political situation in the country.
During an interview for "SOT" newspaper, Mr. Klosi first focused on the massacre of "January 21" where 13 years ago during a protest of the opposition of the time, 4 innocent citizens were killed, the isolation in the apartment of former Prime Minister Berisha and the statements of the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, who last week warned of dark days for the corrupt, oppressors and criminals.
According to Klos, "January 21" was a state crime and as such should be revealed. He even revealed that on "January 21" the Guard of the Republic would shoot at the leader of the opposition at the time, Edi Rama, today's prime minister. As for Duman's statements, the former head of SHISH added that they show that SPAK is not captured by the Socialist Party as the opposition articulates.
- Mr. Klosi, Altin Dumani said that the head of the Freedom Party Ilir Meta and Prime Minister Edi Rama are under investigation by SPAK and confirmed that the new justice does not ask for names, how do you comment on these statements?
He answered those who say that SPAK is captured by the Socialist Party, it shows that they are independent and that they are working.
- The Special Appeal left the former prime minister again under "house arrest", what will happen to Berisha now? How do you see the way he chose to face SPAK?
Sali Berisha now has nothing in hand. They made it clear to him that this was a measure since he did not appear at SPAK. Now the prosecution decides, and I believe that the lawyers have told them that there are no jokes with the prosecution. I would not like the case to go to prison arrest, even for his age, but for having been both president and prime minister. Do not make yourself go to prison, but obey the conditions that the prosecution has set for you. Even though he was told not to communicate with people, he still gives speeches and they let him because it seems that he does not hinder the work of the prosecution with what he does.
- On the other hand, let's dwell a little on the approach and schemes of violence that the group of Gazment Bardhi and Sali Berisha are applying in the Assembly and commissions, what do they want to show with these scenes of chaos?
They want to disrupt work. They are not interested in electoral reform. They know that after all that Berisha is doing, they will no longer be as many MPs as they are today. The people and his loyalists are upset with this behavior of his. Although they are doing this, the sessions are being held, the laws are passed quickly, then they complain because they pass quickly. The opposition needs its tribune more than the position. The opposition must show how it would do something. Saliu boasts about this. Deputies are salaried, he says, do this and they do, but it is difficult to convince the people and we have seen how they are convinced.
-An important development recently took place regarding the "CEZ-DIA" affair, which risks putting many senior officials behind bars. SPAK questioned the journalist who interviewed the wife of Kastriot Ismailaj, who with her statements has sunk Ilir Meta, do you think this file will cause "earthquakes" in politics?
He has taken it to help the prosecution solve its problems. They found it interesting that maybe the journalist has something to say and the more information they have, the better they did their job. Maybe there are people who expect the politics to be shaken, but I expect the prosecution to do its job.
- The Supreme Court will decide on February 27 whether the file of "January 21" will pass to SPAK? Do you think this affair will be cleared up?
I want it to be clear. I am glad that the Strasbourg Court has declared 'January 21' as a state crime, because it was a state crime. None of the guards would fire without taking orders from someone above them. It was a surprise that those who shot it was considered to be unintentional, that event is unexplained. The chain of command has not been affected by the trials that have been done so far. It was a prepared event, Berisha wanted to kill people that day. They were killed to prove that Berisha was the man who made this people zap. But, he was wrong because they were made when the demonstration was over, but they were to show that we make this nation captive and he wanted to show it to the internationals. There is a lot of work because it was closed once, one of them has no killer, but it matters who ordered it. He said even later that I would kill 1,000, even Edi Rama, if he set foot in the yard of the Prime Minister./Gazeta SOT
