The secretary of the OMONIA organization, Marin Suli, has accused Fredi Beleri of being held in prison with a forged document.
But his statement was contradicted by the investigative journalist Artan Hoxha, who said that the court decides on this.
According to Suli, this is not only a scandal but also a dangerous precedent. He further said that Beleri is a Greek citizen and is protected by the neighboring country.
Journalist Hoxha, in the show The Unexposed, explained that despite this, Beleri was chosen by Albanian citizens for the post.
Marin Suli: Ore, are you in trouble or not? A forged document is being used and we say it is not the proof. It's a scandal.
Artan Hoxha: The court decides this.
Marin Suli: It's a scandal. It will fall on you and me tomorrow.
Artan Hoxha: I liked it, I tried it very well. No ambassador came to protect me.
Marin Suli: But you are not a Greek citizen.
Artan Hoxha: So I have to be Greek to be protected?
Marin Suli: Yes, Mr. Beleri is a Greek citizen, therefore Greece protects him.
Artan Hoxha: He was elected by the Albanian citizens there, not by the Greek citizens.
Marin Suli: Without question. Mr. Beleri has dual citizenship.
